=================
Officer Reports
=================
(chronologically, they were actually intersperced with the elections.
But this is cleaner.)

SVP
Bike Week this week
pollardk started us with it, kdrinkwa's now on it. Us and MedLinks.
Email jaxxson if you're around after finals for Chapter Weekend.
PC needed for Finals Coffeehouse. sdmorr volunteers
PC needed fosr finals cookie baking. droshan volunteers

AC
I'm lame and hosed. Minutes will be sent out eventually. These
elections minutes *will* come out tonight.

APOCED
New issue out now.
Last issue in 2 weeks, you should submit something. If you don't know
what articles should look like, read old apocs. There are some here,
and in the office. You have no excuse

*Food arrives*

OM
We got a sewing machine. I'll move stuff to make a sewing corner.
We've got an *actual* sewing machine. It's in Liz's room

Historian
I will finish updating the Historian's Role while I'm still Historian.
"You realize you're Historian til August...?"
"Okay, then I'll update the Role in August."

Advisor
Nothing to report

Nationals
NPCP was yesterday in Boston.
Lots of stuff about Nationals.
Banquets/parties/ceremonies and stuff
they want a formal, real tea party as a banquet
There was talk of a games night with a thousand or... *phone rings* a
thousand or two of your brothers in a big room playing the same games.
We have rooms, we have space, we're totally on top of things.
Nationals is really cool. If you can possibly get away from home, you
should. It's right here in Boston, maybe come back for IAP early. Tell
your parents now that you won't be home, so they get used to it.
There's this Role Call thing. You saw it if you went to Nationals or
Conclave. At Conclave we did a version of the Engineer's Drinking Song,
APO AX version. kevinr wrote the lyrics while the other chapters were
performing *kevinr is declared awesome* This year, since there are so
many people, and such little stage space, we will be using youtube
videos. *groans* So we can watch our stupidity over and over.

*Food break* 2017-2022

NomComm
Met last night. We have lots of awesome people. Some of you may have
received emails last night saying you should be nominated. There may
be awesome people we forgot about. Elections should not be uncontested
again.

"Can someone please close the door?" "Or shoot the bubble?"
*door closes and strange musical noises disappear*

Alumni Database
We have a lot of alums and can't keep track of them. The database is
"maintained" by scripts no one messes with. We try to use our many
mailing lists, but ineffectively. alexmv is doing awesome stuff the AC
doesn't understand, which he may have explained, but I didn't catch.
Anyone running a fellowship event should be able to come in and pick
people... This is all of our alumni. It has their address from our and
MIT Alumni Office records, along with other information. You can go in
and change wrong information. We want to be able to send out mail to
people trying to keep things up to date, so they can log in themselves
and update their records.
You can narrow down the search to brothers and pledges, or alumni
within 4 miles from here... etc.
It also has intigration with postscripts, so you can make labels for,
say, Steak Fry. It looks at the mailing lists
apo-brothers/apo-pledges/apo-actives and updates their status when
people move from one list to another. It may eventually work
backwards. It keeps track of when people graduate and updates. alexmv
hand edited some of the info he knew was wrong. It's currently only on
his laptop, so we can't play with it, but it's still awesome, and
we'll have it soon. Can't yet leave notes on people, but it would be
doable. It can't yet make you chocolate ice cream, but it will if you
can get alex the appropriate interface. It would be useful for
traveling brothers to search for alums in certain areas. All alumni
have contact information for all other alumni, which kind of raises a
privacy flag, so this shouldn't serve the purpose of a central address
book for all alumni.

MVP
We had a pledge meeting and handed out pledge manuals last week. Exit
interviews should be scheduled for next week. PCR/PTR is next Sunday
(May 4th). You should all come to exit interviews!

FVP
I-Banquet is coming up. PC'd by jasminef and cemilyd. It will be great.
Sounds like it will be in Killian (wheather permiting). jasminef will
print invitations.
It was suggested that... in the past we had a reception for graduating
seniors. Something for seniors and their parents... "this is APO"
Would people be interested in it? Who will be around? There will be
some manpower around just before Commencement. FVP will find manpower
for it

PubDir
lwest took care of all the forms for people who haven't returned
equipment yet, and emailed, telling them to return stuff, and that
they can return them during office hours. So if you have office hours
tomorrow, please please go, or find someone who can.
Some of the groups said they returned the paints, leaving them outside
the door. We'll see whether they actually get returned tomorrow. If
they don't come back, we'll split the cost among the groups who left
stuff outside the door. We're going to put a sign on the door telling
them they are financially responsible for paints that get left outside
the office.

Chapter Weekend

Chapter Weekend will be the week of May 25th. We're going to Camp
Resolute. I'll contact the guy and he'll tell us the stuff to do.
People comment that dates should be sent out, so people can plan
summer stuff, or decide if they can or can't go. 6 or 7 people have
confirmed.
People comment how there should be transport mid-week for people who
can't be there the whole time. "It would be cool if it could include
the weekend of 24/25." There are already a couple of volunteers who
can drive brothers/pledges. We should find people who can do mid-week
transport.

Bookex

There are boxes, the books are ready to go out.
There will be a meeting this weekend.
Someone's on finals coffeehouse, so I'll talk to him.
The online thing is working.

Only those active brothers who attended this meeting are eligible to
vote. They are listed above. Eligible brothers can vote for anyone,
whether or not they were mentioned during this meeting. You should
explicitly remember who you want to vote for, since there will not be
a complete list of eligible nominees (read: everyone) near the ballot.
You can vote for as many people as you like, or none at all. Voting
for any person will not affect the votes of any other person,
positively or negatively; it is not a competitive vote. Voting will be
by secret ballot. Exact instructions will be available at the time and
place of voting (in the office), and will last 7 days, although you
are encouraged to not wait 7 days to vote. In order to be awarded a
DSK, a nominee must receive votes from 2/3 of the eligible brothers.

Basically, if 10 out of the 15 of us vote for someone(s), they are
deemed officially awesome forever.
