Hey APO!
You know how we're all supposed to be conserving energy this week in our
dorms? Try making a difference that'll last! Help MIT reduce energy usage
throughout campus. There's training (and free dinner!) April 7th. It's easy,
fun, and you can feel a bit more close to home in how your work affects the
world. Interested? Sign up at
http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?key=phiwttH7LFKMpof08GR0yCA.
So come on April 7th, 6PM!
You'll get more info when you sign up, and if it all works out, there'll be
more opportunities to help out later. Below, I copied the info I have about
it so far.
Sign up on the spreadsheet, and EMAIL ME if you're planning on going.
Thanks!
-Liz

I'm glad to hear that you're helping and that APO is excited about
this! First about the event on the 7th: it's going to be a fun,
easy-going event (with dinner!) where we will train the group on
everything they need to know, then divide and conquer on the
buildings. The exact retrofitting project hasn't been worked out yet,
but our aim is to reduce the energy usage in campus buildings. No
experience is required, and you can sign up at
http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?key=phiwttH7LFKMpof08GR0yCA .
Once the students sign up, we will be in touch with all the logistical
information. Also, so long as this event is successful (with APO's
help!), this will be the beginning more similar projects.

This event is part of the MIT Energy Week (April 7-11), which
kicks-off the MIT Energy Conference with a weeklong schedule of
hands-on events and activities for students to understand their role
in the energy challenge. Learn more about the week at
