ESP wants /you/ to help with Spark! Spark is essentially a smaller
version of Splash, where high school students spend the day running
around campus, going to classes taught by MIT students about everything
from physics to jumping rope to slacking off. They're expecting
approximately 800 students this year, and they need help with
registering students in the morning (7:30 AM - 9:30 AM) and/or acting as
"security" (meaning you give directions to lost high school students and
make sure that chaos doesn't reign, etc.) 8:30 AM - 10:30 PM, in ~2
hours shifts.
If you'd like to help, then:
1) e-mail me or yalu@mit.edu with your name, e-mail, and phone number.
2) Go to http://doodle.ch/participation.html?pollId=k4guub5daur7f4ww and
indicate when you're available for security shifts. The shifts are
listed on the page and go from 7:00 AM until 10:30 PM. Use your athena
names, and a final schedule will be e-mailed out later this week
(Thursday or Friday-ish). Please note that volunteers are particularly
needed for the morning registration; if you're a morning person you
should register for one of those shifts!
Hope to see you there,
Nathan
