WHAT Paint colorful, 4-foot signs for

Project Bread's 40th annual Walk for Hunger.

        Signs inform, motivate, and educate

walkers about hunger and poverty in Mass.

(as well as minimize graffiti along walk route)

This project is appropriate for youth age

seven and older who can paint neatly and

are accompanied and supervised by an adult/

        parent/guardian.

WHERE Project Bread-The Walk for Hunger

East Boston (indoors, heated & t-accessible)

WHY 500 painted signs will direct, educate,

and motivate, as well as decrease graffiti,

        along the 20-mile walk route.

Project Bread is the nonprofit organization that

organizes the annual Walk for Hunger to raise

funds to support 400+ emergency feeding

programs in 135 communities Massachusetts, a

Hunger Hotline, food drives, and shaping public

policies that address hunger. For more info.,

        visit http://www.projectbread.org

This will be PMD's fifteenth year assisting with

this unique project that offers wonderful

opportunities to express your artistic side,

and exhibit your work (anonymously) to thousands!

PMD policy requires that all volunteers

participate for the entire project time span

to which they commit in advance, in order

to enable us to finish all the signs needed,

clean up the project site, gather and clean

our tools and materials, and enable all

        volunteers to leave on time.

This project will be led by PMD volunteer

project managers Michele M. and Mary R.
