Semi-Formal Formal this semester will be on Saturday, November 10th at
7pm, on the top floor of Building 24 in the fabulous Experimental Study
Group common area and kitchen.
What is SFF?
Semi-Formal Formal is an APO fellowship event held every semester
featuring food, board games and general fellowship with your brothers
and pledges. The name comes from a debate from back-in-the-day, when we
couldn't decide whether to have a formal or a semi-formal/outlandish
costume/whatever could be misconstrued as clothing (I have been told all
three on separate occasions) event, so we combined them. As such, you
can wear whatever you think is semi-formal formal to SFF, but please
wear something.
Wait, food!?
Yes! There will be food served at 7pm. This means it would be great if
you could let me know:
1. If you are coming, and if you will be bringing a guest.
2. If you have dietary restrictions/what they are/other foods at APO
events you have eaten and enjoyed.
3. If you could make some food! Desserts, casseroles, etc. A vague
idea of what your food might be (ie a dessert) is nice but not necessary
4. If you would like to help make food! ESG has a kitchen that we use
to cook delicious foods before SFF. Come by beforehand (6ish) to help out.
Wait, board games!?
Yes! We will be bringing the board games from the Office, but feel free
to bring your own. Other games may be played and activities enjoyed, of
course.
Wait, how long does SFF last?
I expect things will have died down by 10:30ish, and after cleanup, etc.
you have the rest of the evening at your disposal by 11pm, but it could
go earlier or later.
I have nothing to wear!
Yes you do! Previous attire to SFF includes business casual, prom
dresses, not-prom-dresses, kilts, skirts, trashbags, renaissance
costumes, etc. Show off your Halloween costume again, even.
Why should I come?
It's a good time. Plus, food! Plus, brothers and pledges in SFF
attire. Why wouldn't you?
RSVP to me, ASAP.
Yours in Lederhosen, Frocks and Suits,
-Kendra
