Some of you have met Joe Kuchta, some of you haven't had the chance,
but he'll be coming to conclave for a few hours, probably on
Saturday. Stop and say hi when you see him.
Joe has been an chapter advisor since the 70s when he was MIT's
liaison for an handicapped access project the chapter did on
campus. Joe worked for the MIT Safety Office until he retired in the
late 80s. After about 2 years, he came back to work for MIT as the
assistant golf coach then golf coach. Then he retired again. Then he
became an assistant track coach. Then he retired again about three
years ago. He had a stroke a little over a year ago and was living in
an assisted living facility in Illinois near the part of his family
that is there. This summer he moved back to Massachusetts and is now
living in an assisted living apartment in N. Chelmsford, MA. I've
talked to him a few times since then and he seems to be doing pretty
well, but he does need a walker to get around.
Joe's looking forward to seeing everyone. If anyone wants his contact
information, drop me a line and I'll send it to you.
