Greetings, Alpha Chi!
Our chapter is hosting this fall's Conclave (of Science!) and you should go!
What is Conclave?
Conclave is a 2-day conference of all Alpha Phi Omega chapters within
New England. There are workshops, service projects, fellowship
opportunities, and business meetings.
But why does this matter?
Conclave is all about brotherhood. APO is much bigger than just our
chapter and Conclave provides a place for brothers to share ideas (other
chapters have some interesting traditions), socialize, and have fun with
each other. We're also having several LEADS workshops including LAUNCH,
which is highly recommended for any brother who hasn't been to a LEADS
program before. (the last time we were able to have a LAUNCH on campus,
brothers from as far away as New Jersey came up here just for that
session)
Perhaps you've never been to a Conclave. Maybe it was being held too far
away or it was inconvenient for your schedule. The Conclave of Science is
being hosted right in the middle of campus on Saturday and Sunday of the
4-day Columbus Day Weekend (Oct 6-7), conveniently located and
scheduled to leave a couple days to do psets afterwards.
The time has come to register for Conclave! If you're going to attend Conclave
(actually attend, not just volunteer to help), you need to register by
September 24. Brothers, pledges, and alumni are all encouraged to attend.
What your $30 registration fee gets you:
-all workshops, including APO LEADS workshops
-beaker stamped with Conclave logo
-admittance to banquet
-lunch on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday
There will be three APO LEADS workshops offered. Some may not run unless we
have enough people attending, so please indicate when you register which ones
you would attend. (Go to

You have the option of ordering a Conclave t-shirt. They are $8 for regular
cut, $10 for ladies' cut.

Deadline for registration is September 24. (This is a hard deadline if
you are ordering a t-shirt. If you are not ordering a t-shirt, you can
register up to September 28, but after that will just make me cross at
you.)
