Hi everyone,

I'm pleased to announce the following PCs:

Saturday Sept 22, 9:15-2:30 National Braille Press -- pollardk
Saturday Oct 13, 12-5pm Greater Boston Food Bank -- dalejan
Monday Oct 29- Friday Nov 2 UMOC Candidates subPC -- y_lin

We still need PCs for the following projects:

Saturday Oct 20 - Sunday Oct 21
Chapter Weekend
Organize the brothers to visit Camp Resolute, a scouting camp at which
we stay overnight, enjoy each other's company, do whatever building,
disassembly, or repair projects are needed at the camp, and this year,
have Steak Fry. You will have food and transportation subPCs.

Saturday, Oct 20
Steak Fry (Food subPC for Chapter Weekend)
Self explanatory? Cooking for large groups of people; we have to
bring everything with us this time, of course. There is also this
auction. Jo can tell you more than I can.

Saturday, Oct 20 and Sunday, Oct 21
Transportation subPC for Chapter Weekend
We have a list of alums with cars. Work with the overall PC to
arrange transportation to Camp Resolute for Chapter Weekend.

Sunday Oct 28, afternoon to early evening
children's community Halloween Party
Dress up, set up, and run an annual children's halloween party.

Monday Oct 29- Friday Nov 2
Unhinged-est Man On Campus (UMOC)
Run UMOC, in which various people choose a charity to sponsor and then
try to get others to vote for them as being the most Unhinged (we've
been having trouble getting people to sign up for Ugly in recent
years). 1 penny = 1 vote, and all the proceeds go to the winner's
charity. You get Candidates, Publicity and Manpower subPCs

Mon Oct 29 - Fri Nov 2
UMOC Publicity subPC
Publicize in advance of UMOC that we are looking for candidates, and
UMOC itself.

Mon Oct 29 - Fri Nov 2
UMOC Manpower subPC
Make a page on the web sign-up and make sure people sign up for it.

Sign up! Do it! Yes!

yilfs,
Brown

Duties of a service project PC:

1. Get people to sign up for the project (may include sending angry
emails and/or talking to people individually)

2. A couple days before the project, if the number of people who have
volunteered is significantly off from the number I estimated to the
organization, call the organization and ask if the new number of
volunteers is ok. Depending on what they say you may have to
apologetically cancel the project, or cap the number of your volunteers.

3. Lead the group to the project on time (you may offer to give
wake-up calls if you feel so inclined)

4. Afterward, send both me and the ApocEd an article that contains, at
minimum, the name of the place you went and a list of all the list of
people who went on the project. (Preferably you would also say a few
words about what you did and how it went.)

I'll give you all the info you need; ping me if you are unclear about
what to do.
