Hi everyone,
I can announce the following PC:
Project Linus (making quilts for sick children) - lkjohnsn
We need PCs for the following projects:
Tuesday Sept 11, 5:30-9:30pm Prison Book Program
Pick out books for prisoners based on their letters describing their
interests/requests.
Saturday Sept 22, 9:15-2:30 National Braille Press
Place braille stickers on each page of the book "Mommies say Shhh" to
correspond with the text, for blind children learning to read.
If you are available to PC either of these projects, email me right now.
yilfs,
Brown

Duties of a service project PC:
1. Get people to sign up for the project (may include sending angry
emails and/or talking to people individually)
2. A couple days before the project, if the number of people who have
volunteered is significantly off from the number I estimated to the
organization, call the organization and ask if the new number of
volunteers is ok. Depending on what they say you may have to
apologetically cancel the project, or cap the number of your volunteers.
3. Lead the group to the project on time (you may offer to give
wake-up calls if you feel so inclined)
4. Afterward, send both me and the ApocEd an article that contains, at
minimum, the name of the place you went and a list of all the list of
people who went on the project. (Preferably you would also say a few
words about what you did and how it went.)
I'll give you all the info you need; ping me if you are unclear about
what to do.
