Okay, I am also with a K12 organization that has set up a few UNIX 
servers and we really like the 'LINUX' system.  There is software that 
Installs itself off of a DOS partition with stuff called Slackware.  Then 
the manuals go basically down the list: install mail, install news, 
install SLIP ect.....  Most of the work at our school is also done by 
students who don't have the time, we control most of the network in the 
building (Includeing manageing mail and writeing W3 script).  I can 
contact you with people that may have more to say, e-me.
