Problem running program across LAN Server network

I know someone who is trying to run a Windows program across a LAN
Server network, but whenever he starts the program, it gets past one or
two screens and then complains that it can't find a file (a DLL, I
believe). He said that its INI file is pointing to the correct
directory, and that the file is really there, but the program can't find
it. However, if he logs onto the server directly, he can run it, and he
tried installing it directly to another machine, and it runs OK, but
just not across the network. Does anyone have an idea what might be
wrong?
