Hi,

I'm Ed Passarella, editorial director of Yahoo! Computing, the
Ziff-Davis guide to computing sites on the Web. Id like to invite you
to participate in our Webmasters Roundtable of OS/2 Web sites. Were
asking a few webmasters from OS/2-related sites that were reviewed and
recommended to take part in a live chat. The roundtable concept is new
for us, though we have had single-guest chats in the past.

This Webmasters Roundtable takes place Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 10 p.m.
Eastern.

The format is a one-hour live chat, from 10 to 11 p.m. The guests will
be other OS/2-site webmasters, plus our guest host -- OS/2 writer,
reviewer and champion, Esther Schindler. Other writers and editors, as
well as members of the OS/2 community, will be invited, too. There will
be some questions from Esther and me to get things going, as well as
opportunities for folks in the audience to join the discussion.

The focus of the chat will be Web sites and OS/2:
( The challenges and rewards of running Web sites devoted to this OS
( The role of Web sites in promulgating and supporting OS/2
( The tips and tricks of getting people to your site and spreading the
word in this focused community
( Where the best OS/2 sites besides yours, of course can be found

You get the idea. I'm told other IRC clients will work with the Yahoo!
Computing chats, but I've never tried it out myself. If you have a
different client than Global Chat, you can test it by going to
www.zdnet.com/yahoocomputing/filters/webmast.htm and clicking on "Enter
the Webmaster chat room." If you can get in (thought it might be empty
at the time), I think you'll be fine. If not, the details on getting the
Global Chat client are available on that page, too. You can also check
out archives of previous chats.

So, please let me know if you can join us Wednesday evening, Aug. 7, at
10 p.m., Eastern . Even if you cant, an RSVP would still be helpful. If
you do accept, Ill follow up with additional info and reminders before
the event.

Thanks, and hope to see you there,
Ed
