I work at Commonwealth Edsion in Chicago,IL. I develop
internal apps with Visual Basic 3.0 for Windows 3.1. We
have about 1000+ Win 3.1, 200 OS/2, and a handfull of Win95 and
NT clients. A great effort is under way to get existing
16-bit apps to work in Win95 and NT. Being a big OS/2 fan
and the developer of the only department wide 16-bit app,
I've taken it upon myself to get my app to work in OS/2.
I figure, the less problems OS/2 has with existing apps the better
the chances are of increasing the number of OS/2 machines.
Perhaps we'll start developing in OS/2 once people see
the obvious benfits over Win 3.1. Is there any sites or
news groups I should check first?
The app was developed with VB 3.0 and connects to Sybase
4.9.2 through ODBC. ODBC has been the problem for the
Win95 and NT clients. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
David Perez
