I haven't seen the movie yet but it seems that IBM and OS/2 are the
core of the British secret service agency.
Q RUNS OS/2!!!!!!!
> Last weekend my son and I saw Goldeneye, the new James Bond movie.
>since then I have seen several notes or bulletin board posts regarding
>the IBM presence. They have all been understating our presence. The
>fact is that almost all of the computer equipment was IBM and it was
>very noticably displayed. In perhaps the most blatent statement the
>heroin goes into an IBM store in a Russian city and requests 20 machines.
>Most of the machines shown in the movie appear to be RS/6000 Megapell
>displays, however there is a very brief (less than a second) flash of the
>OS/2 logo. It is one of perhaps a half a dozen displays shown at sort
>of a sideways angle but to those of us who know it is unmistakable.
> We're IBM and we're back.
> By the way the new adds for OS/2 Warp are out and they're very good.
>We're not letting Microsoft dominate us without a fight.
I plan to see it this week-end. Hope everyone is doing OK. Let me
know if you have and questions.
