Oh, don't listen to my blabbering about zsh. (I only used it for a short
period in its early days.) I was just shooting from the hip, because I was
surprised that the latest version at princeton.edu and ftp.uu.net was 2.3.1.
However, I heard? that the original maintainer (Paul Falstad?) graduated or
something and stopped working on it. For all I know, the higher numbered
versions may be considered "real" by zsh users, even though they are not
maintained by the original author. Ask Bill or refer to the zsh faq in
comp.unix.shells for a better answer.
