If you're using NetBSD 1.0 without the kernel compatibility patch to
run 1.0A binaries, this might happen. Another possibility is that you
have a buggy /usr/libexec/ld.so, which you can update from
/afs/sipb.mit.edu/system/i386_nbsd1/usr/libexec/ld.so. I don't know
of any other compatibility issues.
