First, if no one objects, I'd like to nuke /mit/netbsd/netbsd-source.
I will look for RCS directories and see if there are any changes we
want to keep, but otherwise, I don't think we've used that source tree
for a long time. (True, the -current installation isn't really ready
yet, but we haven't really been supporting 1.0 installations as such
anyway.)

Second, it occurred to me that it might be better to mention the
changes for a read-only source tree here instead of sending in a big
change-request pr. The affected files are:

	/usr/src/share/bsd.obj.mk
	/usr/src/share/bsd.subdir.mk
	/usr/src/usr.bin/make/var.c
	/usr/src/usr.bin/make/make.1
	/usr/src/usr.sbin/config/main.c

bsd.obj.mk changes to provide the "objdir" target and to canonicalize
${BSDSRCDIR}. bsd.subdir.mk changes to provide a default _SUBDIRUSE
rule for objdir. var.c and make.1 implement and document the :C
canonicalization modifier. config/main.c changes to use only the last
path component of the configuration file as the name of the directory
in ../compile, to allow using a configuration file not in the conf
directory.

I can check these in myself, or mycroft can.
