oh, btw, I should report my "experience"
I installed a machine two days ago, using greg's nfs/afs install
stuff.. I'm impressed.. it was beautiful, and EASY as hell
(it asked for an IP address, suggested partitioning, and
then chugged along happily, and did everything right :-)
the following were the two problems I did have:
1) the first floppy I tried (the nfsaha.fs) seemed
to panic, I was not in a mood to debug, and the bt equivalent
worked fine (ide controller, so it didn't matter).
2) the /etc/ttys file didn't have an entry for
ttyv7 at all. There really should be something that is
either commented out, or has "off" as its attribute, so
that after setting up X, one can easily get it to start
up, without having to check the exact invocation on another
machine. namely (oops.. ttyv6 - not 7)
ttyv6 "/usr/athena/etc/dm /etc/athena/login/config ttyv6" unknown on secure
anyway, congrats greg.. I'm impressed, it's now REALLY easy
to install..
