Yes, it's a known bug that restarting AFS doesn't work once you've
unmounted /afs. This is a generic AFS problem, not something specific
to NetBSD. You only notice on NetBSD because I spent some time trying
to get unmounting/unloading to work. As you discovered, this work is
incomplete, and probably will remain that way. (I suppose we could rig
it up so that instead of crashing on restart it just rejects attempts to
restart).
