I didn't realize we had built synctree (I keep forgetting about the
stupid placement), so I moved in the perl version so I could try to
get some work done. (Neither version of lndir would correctly make a
link tree for the v1.6 discuss sources.)
I wouldn't say that the perl synctree does "COMPLETELY" the wrong
thing; it does ignore the map request and display different output
from the C version, but that's it.
