On saturday, in the course of reinstalling my laptop, I dropped my
At-Lan-Tec parallel port ethernet driver (if_lt.c and related files)
into the kernel source tree on lola. I'm not sure what the CVS
conventions were so I just dropped the files there without committing
them.
I also created a "LAPTOP" config file and kernel build tree, which can
be deleted if you're low on disk space.
Note that the At-Lan-Tec driver is "tainted" wrt the GPL; I really
should rewrite the few parts of it left over from Becker's linux
driver so it can go into the main NetBSD source tree.
BTW, the install instructions were OK, but I ran into difficulty
running AFS on my 4MB laptop. I didn't have time to completely
diagnose it (there was a Mary's run about to leave when I bumped into
this problem :-) ), but either the libafs.o didn't match the kernel I
built, or it has severe difficulty running in only 4MB of memory.. it
died with a grungy memory fault of some sort shortly after starting
up.
