Just do the renaming with #defines in db.h (or whatever it's called)
and make sure everything that uses any of those functions includes the
header... ?


The third/tex problem (and sendmail MAKE=gmake problem) are already
fixed in the athena mainline (the sendmail problem is fixed by do.sh),
it's just that the changes haven't been pulled over yet.
