I put gzipped tarfiles for granola's root, build, u1, and usr
partitions in /afs/.sipb/project/lola-granola, which is
machine.lola-granola on rosebud:/vicepa. I set the quota to 200M just
in case; the volume is currently using ~70M, leaving a little more
than 140M free on the partition.
The backups where made with something very like:
tar -z -v -c -S -l -f /afs/.sipb.mit.edu/machine/lola-granola/foo.tgz foo
I did NOT include the AFS cache, but the backup did get some emacs19
lockfiles, some autosave files, possibly some vi/ex recover files, and
possibly the srvtab, but I couldn't find one. ????
