That implies "support of a new platform" to me.  If we have to bother
I/S every time we need a new @sys value, I don't think that's a major
burden on anybody.  It happens only about once a year.

I'd probably suggest that i386_linux3 be a directory containing
symlinks, so when we do have stuff specific to this architecture, we
don't need to bug them again.
