sigh.. needed a 1.3 machine to run ldconfig, since 1.2 seems to
not run ELF binaries correctly (this SUCKS dude!)
I think I fixed it. (involved changing ld.so.conf and
ls.do.cache in /emul/linux/etc -- didn't know where to put
the originals.. so somebody may want to propagate those files)
