Not for the install kernel; pccons is smaller. (It may be that we
have extra space and should just use pcvt; then we could avoid the
local patch, I suppose.)

I don't remember the exact circumstances there. The easiest way to
observe the problem is to boot zorp with a pccons kernel, such as the
1.2 install floppy.
