I have set some things up for work on NetBSD-Athena 1.3 (with a little
help from Dan):
* A sipb-source-reviewers mailing list, with discuss archive
on picayune. People on this list should (at least for now)
be a subset of folks on read:staff in the dev cell; I can
get people put on source-guests if necessary.
* A sipb-source-commits mailing list, with discuss archive on
picayune.
* Some volumes in /afs/dev.mit.edu/project/sipb. Right now
there's one for a repository, one for a reference working
directory, and one for a build tree. I've imported the
athena, packs, and doc hierarchies into the repository so
far; I'll get to third after I've had something to eat. I
also have to set up the log filter to send out mail, which
I'll do after the moira propagation for sipb-source-commits.
* A pts group write:sipb in the dev cell to hold the SIPB
people who are working on this thing. I seeded it with
myself, kcr, danw, and nathanw. Tell me if you want on.
Don't check anything into the repository until it's been reviewed on
sipb-source-reviewers, or you've let about five days go by. (You can
also prod me if I don't review it quickly; I'll generally review
anything.) You can read /mit/source/doc/procedures to see how this
works in the Athena universe.
I figure we'll work on the repository until we have something
functional and then tag a release branch.
Craig is working on xlogin as we speak (doing login library and krb5
integration), so I would hold off working on that for a week or so.
I'll have some patches to submit for the third hierarchy soon. Also,
if you're working on something that isn't tiny, let me know so that we
can avoid duplication of effort.
