FWIW, my OLC client sources are scheduled to be frozen and handed off
to Greg "Mr. Release Engineer" Hudson for release 8.1 at the end of
February. You may want to coordinate with Greg if you want to look at
the changes he makes for the release, or you can just pick them up
from me anytime after then. The changes will include making "olc" and
"olta" and "owl" (and "olcr" and "oltr" and whatever the owl
consulting client is called) the same binary, configured by different
configuration files. I suspect that taking that source and porting it
to Linux and NetBSD will be no harder (and may be easier) than porting
the current, separate OLTA client.
Of course, that still leaves
