Authenticating problems

Hello. I just installed AFS on my netbsd system. Everything works
except that I cannot authenticate via kerberos. I have added my site's
kerberos sites to krb.conf, etc, but kinit always says "Password incorrect".

I fail when I try and authenticate with the AFS kerberos servers (psc.edu
and andrew.cmu.edu), but I succeed when I try a local kerberosIV
server that I set up a while back. When I was setting up my server I
found that AFS kerberos and pure kerberos were slightly different;
AFS kerberos includes a hostname in the ticket somewhere. It seems
that the kinit that came with the beta AFS uses pure kerberos, not AFS
kerberos.

So, is this a known problem? I assume the fix is to distribute a
different version of kinit (it is called klog on our Decstations).

Also, could someone add me to the netbsd-afs mailing list? There
doesn't seem to be a "-request" address...

Thanks!
