I've added the following devices to the ATHENAADP, ATHENAOTHER,
INSTADP, and INSTOTHER kernel configurations for the 1.1 install:
ed3 at isa? port 0x300 iomem 0xcc000 irq 9
ed4 at isa? port 0x300 iomem 0xcc000 irq 11
fe0 at isa? port 0x2a0 irq ?
fe1 at isa? port 0x300 irq ?
fe2 at isa? port 0x320 irq ?
These are the same AT1700 devices as before, but fewer ed* devices.
Basically, having discovered that the I/O address doesn't matter for
NE2000 cards, a lot of our ed* devices are redundant or fairly
useless. We've also had no users, as far as I know, installing with
3C503 or WD/SMC cards, so I don't think we need to pay a lot of
attention to those.
Notes:
* I did not modify the GENERIC kernel configurations. Thus,
it's possible that a user who doesn't install the Athena
customizations will get a kernel that doesn't recognize all
their devices even though the installation floppy does. But
it'll be stock, at least, and if their devices are in the
GENERIC set of devices, they will be the same devices under
the GENERIC kernel.
* The upgrade documentation will have to include special
instructions for people using ed2 through ed8 (of those,
only ed2 is common, I think, except for people using ed8 at
IRQ 11). Most of those people will have to switch to ed3.
