I fixed the mouse configs...

the mouse was misconfigured in the /etc/Xconfig file.  I don't know who
left it busted, however.

For reference, the proper mouse config is:

MouseSystems	"/dev/pms0"
  BaudRate	1200
  Emulate3Buttons

(the BaudRate is probably superfluous)
