At this time I don't know of any critical updates that will cause problems
with WinAthena.
A few weeks ago the xenroll update would prevent you from getting new
certificates but Jeff Schiller updated the server and it now works with both
the old and new control.
Biomicro has their machines running with auto-update enabled and haven't
voiced any complaints to us.
However, if you find a critical update that does cause problems, please let
us know right away at pismere-bugs@mit.edu. :)

I upgraded DT's Internet Exploder (IE6.0) and Media Player (7.1).
Windows update lists about 16+ Critical updates available for DT. I didn't
do
them because I do not know how the updates would affect the athena
applications. Someone who understands Pismere/WinAthena should guide dt
thru
the Critical updates.
I'm tempted to update DT to DirectX 8.1, but there's no realy need that I
can
see.
