Hi,

DT appears to still be a member of the domain. Or at least Moira and AD both
have consistent information for it. In fact, I am able to remotely
authenticate to it from the WIN Domain without problems.

Athinfo says that its uptime is currently ~52 minutes.

Note that when the i.cleanup.cmd script is running, anyone that is a member
of the local administrator group can still log in. It looks like the only
user that is a member of the local admin group is aatharuv.

That script should not be taking 1 to 3 hours to run. The machine should be
checked to see if the script is really taking that long, or if the script
has finished but the screen is still being displayed.

I don't know why the Athena choice within the Domain/Realm option from the
C-A-D screen is missing. Someone should verify that report. In any case,
users should still be able to enter <username>@ATHENA.MIT.EDU to log in
since the machine does still appear to be part of the domain.

Paul

I was under the impression that DT had been unjoined from the domain for
a reinstall...granted that was a while ago, but I don't remember hearing
that it happened. I'd be glad to take a look at it when I get back to
Cambridge (next Saturday).
