I logged into dt for the first time today and had a few comments...

---
My first time logging in, it created a Microsoft directory which
seemed mostly empty, and the things it did contain were reproduced in
WinData. Removing it seemed to have no impact on any other things,
and I suspect its creation was a vestigial part of some older thing?

---
I tried to "attach nocturne" and was consistently given
/afs/sipb.mit.edu/user/nocturne. Looking at his hesiod filsys entry:

% hesinfo nocturne filsys
AFS /afs/sipb.mit.edu/user/nocturne w /mit/nocturne 2
AFS /afs/athena.mit.edu/user/n/o/nocturne w /mit/nocturne 1

"attach" seems to be ignoring the preference fields at the end of each
line.

---
I can't seem to change my homepage in IE in a way that survives
logins, though I can add things to my favorites menu and do other
things like that. Is this supposed to be possible somehow? Looking
through "WinData/Application Data/Microsoft/Internet
Explorer/brndlog.txt" shows:

05/05/2001 12:12:03 Processing general customizations...
05/05/2001 12:12:03 Home page is set to "http://web.mit.edu".
05/05/2001 12:12:03 Done.

Where did it set this? I can't seem to find it anywhere obvious in my
homedir.

---
There's no MSDN, no WinZephyr, no nothing on this machine... Someone
with administrative access should install MSDN. It's not clear from
past licks mail how exactly to gain administrative access to the
machine... Can someone give me admin access, or something? I'm
starting to look through this a bit.

---
Any chance of me running this on my laptop?
