So I came in last night and installed Pismere Server on DT. I'll be
talking to the pismere team about Office, Visual Studio, and whatever
other programs are desired. Some notes:
You now log in with your Athena principle. Make your profile world
readable to be able to log in and use it again. I hear this situation
will change later. (profile will be in your Athena home directory:
~/.winprofile)
On login you have your kerberos tickets in the MS Kerberos cache. To get
tickets and tokens, type in at a prompt:
ms2mit
k524init
aklog
Administrators: I've made myself an admin in the meantime since I'm in
contact with the Pismere team and can probably make some changes to the
machine remotely if need be. I've made Tibbetts an Admin since I know he
uses the machine often.
Tibbetts: I recommend you create a local profile with admin privileges.
I'll be giving you the admin password next time I see you, contact me by
zephyr or email if you want it sooner.
