Hi,
I just joined in on this email alias, so please don't flame me if I do
something horrible. I'd like to participate more actively; I just don't
know what to do. Thoughts of "where is Deathtongue" comes to mind...
because I don't know where this machine is.
That said... here's an additional insidious detail with Installs

When you install via the copy-over method, there's a detail to consider
(particularly with MS products and Office has a nasty problem with this).
In short, during Setup there are .STF files which get over-written (in the
relative Office\Setup directory), and running uninstall and any future
additions/removals successfully relies on having the right STF file for the
right OS.
Best solution is to save a NT4 and NT5 copy separately (by renaming the
.STF file after each install to .NT4 and .NT5, respectively) and do a
little renaming before modifying a setup.
Worse case scenario I can think of is to install something under NT4, then
do an overwrite-install on NT5, and in the future blow NT5 away because
it's corrupted, and later try to change the install settings under NT4. It
just won't work, and you'll have to reinstall on NT4.
It's a real pain, I agree... but MS just does not understand why anyone
would want to run two of their OSes at the same time and install identical
software. :-P Go figure...
