The issue is not based upon like or dislike. The issue is the danger of
complexity. Complexity in the language slows down ports to other systems,
slows down the development of third party products and can definitely slow
down maintenance and understanding of existing code.
As far as like or dislike - I also *like* operator overloading. I also very
much like pointers (having written 2 books on them). Both features I will
gladly give up to have a simple, robust and RELIABLE language that gives us a
greater percentage of reliable applications.
Simplicity aids reliability.
