[Q]Native Methods ?

Dear Java manias..
I hava some questions about native methods...
If you know some information about it, please let me know.
1. Is it possible for applet to run local native methods ?
- Scenario is below...
First, Native methods is installed in local machine.
Second, applet is transmitted from some remote www server.
and then the applet call the local native methods ..
Is it possible ????
I'm very anxious to know it...
If you know it, please let me know..
