Hmmm....Well, I must admit that I haven't taken an extremely close look
at Java security. The only thing that categories would allow you to do
is to access "private" instance variables for a class. Does this really
create a security hole?
Otherwise, I don't see how a security hole would be created. When
you load a category, the category only affects your process's concept
of the class heirarchy. Furthermore, I would have to assume that Java
security goes beyond private instance variables...but as I admitted,
I don't know...
Hmm. Well, if it does cause a security hole, the issue is settled.
If it doesnt, I think that categories are an important aspect
of Objective-C and might be even more useful in Java with the concept
of "packages".
