We at JavaSoft have recently switched our mail list processing
software in order to achive better performance and reliablity over the
long term. We apologize for an inconvenience this switchover has caused
to our list members during the transition.
Some commands are issued differently under the new software. All
commands for subscribing, unsubscribing, and personal list-management
in general should be sent to a single e-mail address at JavaSoft:
listserv@javasoft.com. For example, to subscribe to the 'java-interest'
mailing list, you must send the command 'subscribe java-interest Your Name' in
the body (not subject) of an e-mail to listserv@javasoft.com. To signoff a
mailing list, send the command 'signoff (listname)' to listserv@javasoft.com.
Mail sent to the list for others to see should still be mailed to
(listname)@javasoft.com.
The instructions for using the mailing lists have been updated on
the JavaSoft web site (http://www.javasoft.com/mail.html). If you have
any problems using the lists, you may also send mail to
owner-listserv@javasoft.com to request assistance.

This message has been forwarded via the JAVA-INTEREST
mailing list. In order to unsubscribe from this list, send a message to
listserv@javasoft.com with the command 'signoff JAVA-INTEREST' in
the message body (not in the subject line).
