My contribution to the sharing of knowledge on this subject.
I bought Java! by Tim Ritchey. It's not a bad book, but more theoretical
than hands off.
Aord of warning for anybody who is attracted by the CD-ROM supplied with the
book. I thought it would be chock full of samples, and save me some modem
time. But it contains less than 2 megabytes of code. I felt a little cheated.
