Introduction to Java Technology
Wednesday February 21, 2:30PM-5:30PM $95
Instructor: Gerry Seidman
This seminar is a general overview of the uses, advantages and
disadvantages of the Java Technology.
Audience: Application designers, programmers and managers who want to
understand what Java is and how to utilize Java applets for content
design.
Prerequisites: Familiarity with Netscape and some HTML experience is
helpful

Java for C/C++ Programmers
Monday February 26-March 1, 9:30-5:30 (5 sessions) $995
Instructor: Gerry Seidman
This is a 5 day intesive course that includes:
Introduction to Java
The Java Language and Syntax
Creating Java Programs
Object-Oriented Programming
Classes in Java
The JDK Class Library Packages
Building GUIs
Graphics, Text, Fonts
Multi-threading
Networking (Client and Server)
Images and Sound
Native Methods (Interfacing Java with C)
Audience: Application programmers and designers planning to develope
applications or applets that will run in Java enabled Browsers
Prerequisites: C programming, some familiarity with object oriented
concepts and GUI programming.
