I've heard it too. But people were talking about first draft. Book that I have - dated by January
of 1996. I did try almost everything from this book. Everything is working just fine for
me. Again, I was very happy with the book. Also it's probably the only book available
from actual developers. Anybody can correct me ?

Hi Claudio
I can't call myself an expert :-), but I wold recommend
"HOOKED ON JAVA" by Arthur van Hoff, Sami Shaio and Orca Starbuck.
Book that I have is third printing, January 1996. In my opinion this is
good example of how book of this kind should be written. It has
everything you need to understand to start and ... to "have fun" at same time.
Also I would like to thank autors. I really enjoyed time spent on reading it.
Igor
