Appletviewer has no scrollbar

I think this was not sent back to me, so I am reposting:

Say if the applet window size is 2000 x 2000 pixel and
a g.drawString("ABCD", 1800, 1800); is done. In Netscape 2.0
you can see it using the scrollbar but using Appletviewer
there is no scrollbar at all so the text cannot be seen. Is there a
way to get around this [easily]?
