Hi,

Does anyone have experience porting a significant amount
of C code to Java applet? Currently our project needs to
port a speech processing subsystem(written in about 18K
lines of C code) to a java applet so that it can be run
at the client end. Because I am new to Java, I'd like to
know what's the best(quickest) way of porting such a large
system. In particular, I would like to know if there are
any systematic methods of turning C code into Java code,
particularly transforming pointer based data structures,
enumeration types etc. Are there any software tools for
such porting?

Any suggestions would be great appreciated!

Xing
