Hello,
As a newcommer to Java I would suggest picking up a couple of free programs
that make working with Java much more user friendly. The programs Java
Maker and Diva are two that I found helpful in allowing a person to write
and test applets in a Windows environment... this sure simplifies your work!
You can pick them up from the Gamelan site at http://gamelan.com/ Also,
this is a great place to check out applets and to snag some source code.
