Hey everybody,
I have a question for you. I tried asking Arthur van Hoff, but he
hadn't heard of this before. I installed the JDK 1.0 on my system,
which is running win 95. When I use the compiler or the appletviewer,
either the first, second, or third time I use it the system crashes. I
get a black screen with 'Windows Protection Error: Press any key to
restart your computer' . This even happens when I am running the
compiler without a file to compile, just getting the use commands. And
the beta JDK worked just fine. I have no idea why this is happening,
but I am now anxious for an OS/2 port, so it won't shut down my entire
system. Thsi is really frustating because I have to wait for the entire
system to reboot, and I lost some data from the first time it happened.
It also reorganized (the prettiest term I can use) the icons on my
desktop. If any of you have ANY suggestions or comments, I would really
appreciate it very much.
Thank you again,
Rob Hanson
