It is a bug with Beta 2. It has been fixed in the 1.0 FCS release which is on the Web site.

Subject: FileDialog Troubles

Hi again,

Has anyone had any luck with the FileDialog.

I have tried running it in the main application, in its own thread,
and it always acts quirky. Sometimes it works but I have to resize
the window in order to get any other events. They are there but they
are queued up. Usually, well, about a third of the time it crashes the
Java runtime.

This particular system is Windows NT 3.5 with a P90 and 16 megs of
ram. I am using the JDK Beta 2.

Has anyone else had trouble with this???

Thanks

Walt
