I have been looking at setting up an event manager
on the server side. When events are generated by the
client (or server), all clients are notified. CLients
notify the server when events occur (e.g UI). Can Java
EASILY handle this like CORBA could? (Can I simply
eliminate CORBA from my architecture?)
Other questions:
- how well does Java handle client-server connections,
and server client connections?
- Can a java server app be multi-threaded & talk to
multiple clients, or does each client get it's own
server app in it's own process space?
- Can Java support video? (When looking thru online
descriptions I saw support for audio/images but not
video.) The video <could> be local on the client,
but there must still be support to control it...
Thanks!
Paul.
