Could Java support a system for auto-download of bytecode for storage on
a client, which would then be superceded and archived once a newer
version of the bytecode was available on the source server?
I believe that Netscrape Navigator will not allow an applet direct
access to a local file system to store itself.
Would this not be a significant breakthrough for software distribution?
Any ideas ?
